These courses will assist students in discovering and applying personal, social, and academic skills through active involvement and studying real-life situations. Students will also develop interpersonal skills and an appreciation of social diversity in relation to all aspects of their lives. Enrollment in these courses will provide students with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to make positive contributions at home, school, in the community and workplace.
Course Offerings
- Sociology – The study of human social behavior, especially the study of the origins, organization, institutions, and development of human society.
- *AZ/US Government – “A government is the body within a community, political entity, or organization which has the authority to make and enforce rules, laws, and regulations. This class will address these entities and some Arizonian government as well.
- World History/Geography – The story of human experience. It is a story of how people, ideas, and goods spread across the earth creating our past and our present. This class will also include a small but exquisite section on the geography of the world.
- *AZ/US History – The story of how the United States of America came to existence, and how it has come to be what it is with some Arizonian history.
