I am Ms. Ferral, one of the social workers at Tolleson Union High School. I am reaching out to all of you today to share resources created by our district office. With the government shutdown, we know that a lot of families are losing their SNAP benefits this coming month. Included in these resources are food resources.
Please note that your students can also access dinner/supper after school from 3:15 to 4:00 p.m., just as they would during lunch at school. If this is something your student needs and they are unable to stay after school, please let me know so we can try to arrange another way for them to get some food to take home.
We are also working on hosting a food drive this coming month. If you are in need of food please reach out.
